Ratings and Reviews
Continue button shuts off app...
Update 4: I am increasing to 3 stars because the last update seemed to fix some problem. I haven't played in awhile while I was waiting for them to straighten out bugs. I try to hit continue and it shuts off the app so I hit play and it says hitting continue will erase my progress...I really hope I'm not started at the very beginning again...
Ah yes, hitting skip in the tutorial shuts off the app, how do I know? It started me over. So I let the tutorial play through. So what does it do after that? Shuts off the app....lol. Down to 1 star.
Update3: First of all, the team responds quickly to emails. Now onto the review. The game has been updated to remove a section that wasn't passable (for some reason). I got past it, got tired, had to go to sleep.....Guess where I got started when I woke up? AT THE VERY BEGINNING!!! Seriously? I think you should break the game up into sections or chapters so the user can see if they are close to the next starting level or not. Starting all over again EVERY TIME is not cool. I really want to liked this game. Also the code section needs a feedback button so the user can report errors because some of the same errors are still there...I'm going to have to lower my rating to 2 stars until the save feature is added. Anything so I don't have to see the beginning again unless I want to.
Update2: Ok so where is the save? I can't put the game down without it starting me right at the very beginning (I mean the intro beginning and continue still starts me at the very beginning). There are a few other issues as well. I'm waiting to see how long it takes to get customer service (before I change my stars up or down anymore). I'm sure plenty of people would love this game but the execution is a bit frustrating...
Update: ok so I figured out that room but maybe this isn't my kind of game. Maybe escape type games are played like this so if you like those kinds of games AND would like to learn programming then this app is for you. I changed from 1 star to 4 because I do like the programming aspect...I don't like the escape room thing though. And I still think this needs a tutorial.
I feel like I just wasted my money. I would have rather typed code. I'm stuck in a spot with a computer and a cord that will only stay in the wall for like 2 seconds. What does this mean and what am I supposed to do? I've tapped all over the screen and picked up things and I can't even tell if I'm using the item or not. This thing needs a tutorial or something...
Thank you for playing escape code. There was an issue with the save on some devices and will be fixed in the next build.
As for the coding errors, please send them to email@example.com
UPDATE: The save issue some people were experiencing is now fixed.
Need to edit the code snippets
The code snippets contain obvious errors. There doesn’t appear to be any way to save your progress. I have gotten to one spot where I am supposed to arrange the code in the proper order. There doesn’t seem to be a correct answer.
Thank you for playing Escape Code. We cannot recreate your error that you are experiencing. We apologize.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
