New Update- We're not stupid...
I don't review apps. But man, I've found myself reviewing this app at least 3 times within the past two years. If I could, I would give this ESPN app 0 stars.
I'm not going to cover each problem with this app- I'd just be repeating myself from the previous reviews...but this latest update...all you essentially do is redo the logo?? I can sense that changes are coming due to the color scheme changes, but cmon! This is baseball season! I understand football may be more popular ($$$) but your development team should put the same amount of effort you use for football into the baseball season.
Most of these demands from users are minor, and have been duplicated in the football app (which isn't that great either imo). So why is it that difficult to create a meaningful update for baseball since the 2012 season? I've never gotten a sense of negligence from other apps in the Apple Store before, but this surely seems like you're neglecting the thousands of people who are looking for a better user experience.
I write this in hopes that just one ESPN team member for fantasy baseball reads this message.
I decided to come on here to explain how I think this app is lacking in a number of ways, but it seems as if I'm not in the one that has a problem with this app.
I ask you, ESPN fantasy app developer, if an app used by hundreds of thousands of people has a 1.5/5.0 rating, in what way are you doing your job well at all?
This is so frustrating for all of us, every year, to have the same issues and complaints about an app that the public overwhelmingly hates.
I'm not going to get into the specific details in depth, but even the most basic information that is so easy to put out there is missing. For example, when viewing the "My Team" tab, to not even have the opposing pitcher listed. It is already on the full site, and it is incredibly useful and so simple. Again, there are too many issues with this app to expand further, but my goodness I would be completely embarrassed to get the rating of 1.5/5.0 if I were a team member of this app development by the "Worldwide Leader in Sports".
Lastly, I am not an ESPN hater by any means. I am an insider member every year, but this is so embarrassing
ESPN didn't even try with this app. It's a shame. You can't even look at matchup totals for the week. Looking up league roster moves is a pain and the history only goes back for the past week or so. Often misses denoting when a pitcher is starting or puts incorrect figures in the news icon for players. If you manage to find the iPad version (which is essentially the white whale of the App Store), it's bare bones and doesn't even tilt with the screen. It's painfully obvious that ESPN only cares about their fantasy football platform, which also happens to be light years behind most other website hosts. Gets one star only because it allows me to sort and view available players.
