Failure to refresh all scores in a group automatically is a real setback for this app. Beyond the actual game scores, up to date bracket scores and standings within a group is probably the most important information users are hoping to get from this app. Why make them fight so hard for it? I'd have preferred the annoyance of the pop-up ads every time I opened the group standings instead of being forced to open each bracket individually to updates their scores and occasionally getting hit with an ad... Imagine, a way to make your users and advertisers happy at the same time... How can you pass-up that win-win? Get to work development team... And repair my bracket while you're in their!
Nearly a Cinderella story
Everything is perfect except for the occasional failure to reload the current group rankings for group brackets. I love this app. Up to date scores, clean and simple layout, even a rookie could navigate this thing. Yet, when I am super excited and want to check how hard I am dominating the fools in my bracket group, the dang thing won't load properly. The added suspense is unnecessary, frustrating, and the sole reason I am unable to give the nearly flawless application a 5-star rating. Hook em horns
It hasn't crashed yet, which makes it better than any other ESPN app I've downloaded. It does what it's supposed to but some of it feels not optimized. You shouldn't have to back all the way out to see another bracket. There should be a Happening Now type button. Your score in a group isn't quite useful if it doesn't have a Rank of Number in Group. And some of the acronyms aren't defined anywhere within the app. But overall I do like it even if it could be better.
