Do Not Be Decieved!!!!!!
Your Children will lie to you about the games they are playing! Im 19, and I used to do it personally myself. This app is great to let you know exactly what you are potentially exposing yourself and your children to as well. I recently purchased Grand Theft Auto 5, and I have learned it is an inappropriate game after 10 minutes of gameplay. I later checked the internet to see what others were saying, and parents were saying it is a good game that teaches realistic aspects of life. I became flustered when one of the reviews from a child's mother stating that she bought the game for her 12 year old son, she was convinced that any nudity and violence is avoidable throughout the game. There is one mission where you have to brutally torture a person, you are in full control and get to chose what to torture the man with. There is another mission where you have to close a series of "adult" pop-ups on a persons computer. I believe that there should be more pressure on parents to review this app or website from this company. KNOW WHAT YOU EXPOSE YOURSELF AND YOUR CHILDREN TO! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ESRB!!! 10 out of 5 stars if possible!!
Must have for parents and GameStop employees!
I just downloaded this app the other night and have used it over 40 time already. Working at a video game store, parents never really know what they are getting for their kids and most pass the ratings off as conservative babble but the few that are truly interested in what their kids are playing always ask "what exactly do they mean by 'suggestive themes'?", etc. Unfortunately, unless we have personally played the game from start to finish we have to base our answer off word of mouth or approximations. This app cites specific reasons for the ratings including detailed descriptions and quotations. Parents love that we care enough to educate them and this app makes it easy. My only suggestions would be to create reviews for the older games pre 2008 and to add MORE examples of content instead of just 1 or 2. Otherwise, the app works great and is extremely convenient and helpful. I have to give it 5 stars! Thank you!
