Changed app interface for the worse, no longer motivating

This app used to be so great. There was a bar at the top that showed where you were, with color zones, and it was so motivating—I remember the day I was so excited to finally be in the green zone!! Now, your weight is just a number in the middle of the screen, not visually motivating at all.

There were also these line graphs that were really helpful to see your trend and popped up when you did the weigh-in. Now not only are they buried within the app, but they are bar graphs, which change the emphasis and feel of what you are measuring. Before, the emphasis was on the trend, like seeing the ticker trend for stocks, now the emphasis is on each in measurement (bar graph), and and the scale is off in the representation of the number.

Whoever did this, please rethink what you are doing and what you were going for in the change. Looking good is not good enough. What used to differentiate this scale from others on the market was how the app inspired you to get to the green zone, and the ease of seeing the weight trend in a line graph. If you want to make a change, perhaps consult with some gaming experts about interfaces that motivate people, don’t just make a change because you think it might look better. My clients are telling me the same thing. Will you listen?

Love this app

4 stars instead of 5 only because I have used it for 1 week.
The good...easy to set up and use. The WiFi pairing is immediate. Data transfer through Bluetooth instantly. No delay, no loss of Bluetooth signal. Like the bar charts and getting the numbers by putting finger onto the bars. Data on BMI, water%, etc. are informative. I don’t know how accurate they are or if the numbers are calculated through set formula. For me though, have never focused on those numbers. Not too important to me. Good to see the app allows you to put in target / goal weight. Easy to lose site of goal otherwise. Instant connectivity to Apple Health app is great. I now have my data on weight, heart beat, blood pressure, ecg, activity tracking, all collected in one app. My blood pressure was drifting higher for the last 6 months and I was able to show the data to my doctor. She prescribed blood pressure pill to me and will re-check in a month.
This is the benefit of having health data easily and available.

Redesign does not display information in a helpful or user friendly way

Previous version used to display trends in weight, BMI, body fat, etc as line graphs so the user could visually see progress. Current version displays everything as bar graphs which doesn’t help users who are trying to understand where they are in terms of progress. Additionally, if i recall correctly, the previous version showed trends in such a way where you could see progress over a longer span of time. In the current version, in one view, you can only see 9 data points and these are your last 9 weigh ins. So what if i weigh myself every day? That means the trends bar graphs are useless because i only see the last 9 days vs seeing progress over the course of a month in one glance. You can scroll side to side to see more data points but by then its harder to see actual trends. I need to see progress over a longer period of time, as do others whose fitness/health journey is longer than 9 data points. Recommendation: bring back line graphs and allow users to change the time period over which it shows data.
