Great design & concept but needs work
I love the concept of this app & I think it's off to a good start. The design is beautiful & overall I like the UI. Some functional issues though: in the community section if you search for a keyword the results are a jumbled mess. It can show a user from 200 days ago before someone who updated an hour ago. Results should be listed by newest update so the user can find users who are more active. Seeing users who haven't updated in months is discouraging. Also, when I look at Following tab, it doesn't automatically show the newest updates at top. Sometimes I have to scroll for 10 swipes up just to see the latest updates. Besides these two functionality issues I've been enjoying the app. I would also recommend some sort of profile function so you can learn more about who you are interacting with. Thanks for this app!
Guys, what happened?
When I first installed Everest a couple years ago, I was ecstatic about it since I had never seen a task-management app that actually aimed to help people focus on personal/life goals. Aside from the abilities to add steps to tasks and view friends’ goals, what made Everest so outstanding was the in-app categories and suggestions it offered for finding inspiring goals to accomplish. Unfortunately, since the feature was removed, one can only find ideas for goals by performing a keyword search among through other Everest users. In my opinion, this is terrible replacement for the categorical suggestions Everest previously offered. For example, I would have never thought to type a search for something as specific as “See the Northern Lights” – whereas it was offered as a top suggestion in the aforementioned categories. I really hope this feature will be brought back sometime in the near future.
A perfect way to keep you motivated!
Downloaded an app as by some website advice and only few months later has actually used it. It's great!
For some not-so-well organized folks as I am this would be a life-saver. It pretty much is a daily motivator. You put your goals in, and start making steps towards them. As most of the apps send annoying notifications, Everest ones are actually helpful. They remind you in a respectful manner how productive it would be if you do another step (and tell you what you've already done) or cheering you up on amount of consecutive days you made steps.
Basically, you feel ashamed for not doing anything and start moving.
