What's New in Version 7.9.2
New:
• Added 3D Touch Peek & Pop on all note lists, including search results
• Added an audio quick note button to the home screen
• Made it easier to view section details on the home screen: turning on "Show Details" in settings for any section will actually show the details with no hidden minimum thresholds. Got one tag? We'll show it to you if that's what you want to see.
• Now you can access search directly from the Today Widget
Fixed:
• The photo picker was a bit dated and clunky; so we improved the resolution and made it easier to access all photos, moments, and iCloud photo libraries
• Peeking into a note no longer makes it "recently viewed" - you need to open the note completely to do that
• We squashed a bunch of bugs, as always

Customer Reviews
Use it all the time. With some frustration.
Use it all the time. BUT... a couple big problems:
First, when I open the app on my phone, if I haven't opened it in a while, say 10 minutes, I want to see the home screen, not the deep location I was in last. Sometimes I just want to open Evernote and take s picture, but it takes me 4 clicks to get back to the home page first. At least make this an option in settings to default to the home screen after some chosen amount of time.
Secondly, I do not want untitled notes. I never want untitled notes. When I take a snapshot, and I click to finish it, I should be taken to the note's name field. I shouldn't have to click into my "untitled snapshot note" to name it. Likewise when click to create a text note, it takes me to the body of the note. Then I click to finish and its untitled. It should default to take the first line of your text as the note. I can't imagine anyone ever wants an untitled note. Please fix.
An utterly exceptional, essential app
Evernote is extraordinary and is one of the most useful, seamless iOS and Mac apps I have ever used.
I loved the free app and would highly recommend it for most people, but I quickly bought Premium because I import so many images and links on my iPhone, both as a writer (I'm an author and Hollywood screenwriter) and as a parent who spends a good deal of time homeschooling our two very evolved young children.
I use Evernote to track the novel I'm writing, to keep individual chapters as separate files, so that I can access them quickly, and to store many, many notes and reference photos.
I have other novel writing and screenwriting software - Final Draft and StoryMill - but Evernote is incredible in different ways. I especially like it as a repository of everything, and because it syncs so effortlessly between my iPhone and MacBook (I write on my iPhone rather than an iPad now, I find it more intimate).
For general life note taking and to organize our children's lessons and keep track of progress and samples, Evernote is equally invaluable. I have used all kinds of list apps and organizational apps in the past, but nothing compares with Evernote. I also love the elephant logo! Try it now.
Essential for Sure
I use Evernote every single day across my iPhone, iPad, and PC. I use the iPhone version most often to take down notes/ideas while on my commute, using either the standard iOS dictation for short notes, or Evernote's voice note feature.
There's one glitch I stumble across regularly on the iPhone version, where it doesn't like cutting/pasting text with bullet points--it will not paste the text in. Took me forever to figure out that if I take off the bullet point it will then allow we to proceed, but a definite pain when I'm trying to move stuff around on a list of ideas.
Otherwise, it's 5 stars, completely perfect.
