Useful Daily but could do more on lower scale!

Evernote is my go to Note/Edit App. But I find the extra features to be pricey for the purposes they serve, depending on what you need those purposes for, Evernote and it's extensions of course. For some who need all that, it's likely great. For my purposes the upgrades are costly and not needed so it's a fine Note/Paste/Save App, limited. I've never been a fan of subscription plan Apps from the start, and feel no different about this. I think people feel better paying one price and that's it for an App. Make server costs the extra Fee. Still, I use it nearly everyday as an editor for pre-emails checking sometimes angry or too tough on bids etc: then re-write appropriately blending both sides, and saving articles, notes, emails, photos, and much more. It's great for that and well worth 4 stars. But I think if Evernote could just expand it's basic version with some simple "Word Doc" features, fonts, sizing, par, colors, points, etc. Simple Photo sizing/edit, even basic "Recording" at fairly low upgrade price, that would make The Basic Version, A (Plus) Ver? w/out a subscription plan remove the need for note Apps and a Word Docs, and Photo Sizing, Note Rec. Apps...And then we could delete a bunch of Apps not as reliable, let's say like Evernote Plus. Sounds like a good idea to me, an upgrade I'd gladly pay for! Once. I'd upgrade, many would to dump Apps! And 5 Stars then no problem! So, Evernote.... do it!

Please fix the spell checker

UPDATE: Spell checking still doesn't work correctly when a bluetooth keyboard is connected. (It fails the same way regardless of whether it is an Apple or Logitech keyboard.) Even so, I continue to use Evernote, but do the initial writing in pages because of spell check.

-1 It is disappointing that the built-in spell checking is effectively worthless when Evernote is used with a bluetooth keyboard. (It doesn't matter whether it is a Logitech or an Apple keyboard.) Therefore, I have started using PAGES to write my notes. (It is a pain because Evernote does not understand formatting such as tabs or centering done in Pages.)

-2 Tab works differently on an different devices. On an iPad/iPod the tab character inserts 8 spaces. On the Mac it inserts 5 spaces. It would be nice if it was at least consistent between platforms. Evernote does not understand the tab character when pasted in from Pages. Evernote just discards any tab characgters.

-3 On the iMac I can insert links to other notes. Why don't the handheld devices have that capability?

+1 On the plus side: Search now works very nicely. It first shows hits in the header - HURRAH, and then after enter is pressed it does a complete text search.

Over the years I've tried several other cloud based note taking programs, and keep coming back to this one. It is one of my most used programs. Despite the annoying parts, I have stuck with it.

I use this every day, multiple times

I have recommended this service to many people over the four years I have used it. It would be too detailed to tell you all the purposes for which I use Evernote.

It is my filing cabinet. Over time, I am scanning paper items into my Evernote system. I use it to take notes, make reminders of things, set up filing systems for information, make plans, draft articles, share articles and information, and on and on.

Evernote saves me time, and helps me not lose things. I greatly appreciate the fact that whatever I have in Evernote is available on my office computer, my home computer, my tablets, and my phone.

I take notes at gatherings and events, and they all go into Evernote. Pieces of paper and handouts, which were hard to keep track of and hard to file consistently now go into one centralized place.

There is one minor complaint: I do not know why you have to tap or click twice to start entering text into a previously created note. I do not know how many times I have placed a cursor (I thought) and started typing, only to realize I need to place the cursor two times. This needs to be fixed.

I use this app multiple times every day. It is my most used app by a wide margin.
