One major flaw ruins a good game
The game tries to recreate the real physical game to the point where an electronic version suffers. Contrary to other implementations, it is completely up to you to realize whether somebody else's discard is useful and you have a set time period to realize that (which is even applied to your own discard). So even on the fastest setting, the game plays incredibly slow while you will miss discounts at the same time. This is where my expectations for a computer game are different. When playing with humans, I have no problem spending time while playing MJ but watching a computer counting down time without the ability to say "no, I don't need this discard" is ridiculous
Best Mahjong Simulator On Any Mobile Platform!
Excelsior Mahjong is the only mahjong application that realistically simulates actual mahjong gameplay. Great AI interface for computer players!
Glitches: You must press "Win" instead of "Pong", "Chow" or "Kong" once all necessary tiles have been acquired, or the app won't let you win, and gameplay will continue.
Too bad this app isn't available for iPhone with larger tiles.
At first the several dozen games I played were fun. After awhile, it became inconsistent and did not allow wins when the correct tiles were drawn. I deleted it.
