New ways to play! Play with friends or strangers in online play, or play offline with friends face-to-face!

Exploding Kittens, the most-funded game in Kickstarter history, is now available for iOS.

Created by Elan Lee (Xbox, ARGs), Matthew Inman (The Oatmeal), and Shane Small (Xbox, Marvel).

- Exploding Kittens is a multiplayer card game for people who are into kittens and explosions and laser beams and sometimes goats.

- Play with 2 to 5 players across multiple phones in the same room, or online with friends or strangers

- All art illustrated by The Oatmeal

- New cards exclusive to the digital version of Exploding Kittens

- The digital version of the most backed game in Kickstarter history

In this highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette, players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode, they are dead, and they are out of the game -- unless that player has a Defuse card, which can defuse the Kitten using things like laser pointers, belly rubs, and catnip sandwiches. All of the other cards in the deck are used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Kittens.

Exploding Kittens is a paid app in which optional game features may be purchased with real money. You must be at least 13 years old to download and play. There is also an option to compete online against strangers and resulting data transfer charges may apply. Player usernames and expressions are their own. Really fun, but a few problems

I like the Oatmeal. I have a couple of his books and read the comics. When I heard that he made a card game I rushed to get it, and it's now one of my family favorites. And now that there's an app for the game, I couldn't be happier, but... there is a few critical problems that need to be resolved and few suggestions that I have. First of all, the core pack works fine, but the extension packs somehow automatically disconnect me when I try to play. Next, I think that some of the nonessential aspects that clutter the play screen should be removed, and maybe the countdown to start the game should be a lesser number, like 10 instead of 20. Finally, I think it would be really fun to have an A.I play option that could be used when data or wifi is unavailable. My problems aside, though, this game is really fun and I encourage you to try it.

Great game but could use

It's an awesome game but it would be cool if you were able to play with both expansion packs at the same time so you didn't have to only get to play with one each game. It would also be cool if when playing local or with friends you could continue to play games instead of having to exit and host a new game every time. Also if you could edit the games rules such as the timer when playing on local/ hosting games.

Good but buggy

This is a great game, pretty closely related to the card game. However, it is pretty buggy. The game server sometimes randomly won't connect or kicks you off. Also, it gets confused when people leave the game, leaving too many EKs in the deck. Sometimes gameplay will skip players or act as though they have played cards they haven't (double slap cards result in player having to take 3 turns). And, it loses track of where you have said to place the EKs in the deck (ie ends up second to bottom when you tell it to put out on the bottom or similar).
