CNN Travel: "These maps are very easy on the eye and simple to navigate. They work offline and also include free updates of stations that have yet to be completed, operating hours and schedules."
Lonely Planet: "Easy to use, up to date and work offline. Very handy, especially when they've run out of paper maps at the stations."

Ratings and Reviews
Where is the Chinese? (漢字)
I've been using the Explore Shanghai and Explore Beijing Metro maps and they both work great, so I downloaded Taipei and Hong Kong too - unfortunately, even if your phone is in Chinese mode, the Chinese characters do not show up on the Taipei map. Considering that Taiwan mandarin romanization is based on the Wade Giles system instead of "pinyin", it makes Chines pronounciation of place names impossible.
Also, reguardless of the language your phone interface is set to, there should be an easy way to toggle between English, Simplified and Traditional display of each place name, as talking to Taiwanese, Westerners or
Mainlanders not having the ability to conviently use their native display weakens the software.
Seems very worth it to me
This is the only MRT Taipei helper with new routes and up to date. US$ 1.99 was well worth it.
Worthless. You have to be connected
And if you have a connection, what is the point? This app is merely a portal to google maps. I somehow thought I was getting something else.
