Eye-Fi gives photographers the power to capture great quality pictures & videos from any digital camera and quickly and reliably transfer them to their computer, smartphone or tablet with the Eye-Fi ProX2 wireless SDHC card.
*This app requires an Eye-Fi ProX2 card. Eyefi Mobi card users should download the new Eyefi Mobi app.*
When quality photographs are needed, you reach for your digital camera. Smartphones fall short for life’s most precious moments - these require zooming, high-speed shooting, low light and other features that make digital cameras superior. With an Eye-Fi ProX2 wireless SDHC memory card, you can quickly and easily turn the camera you already own and love into a top quality WiFi camera and showcase your best shots while streamlining your workflow. Use your favorite apps like Facebook, Instagram, Pixlr, and Snapchat to share instantly, and top editing tools to enhance and edit your best shots.
When paired with the Eye-Fi iPhone or iPad app, the Eye-Fi card transfers photos & videos directly to your iOS camera roll, whenever new content is detected. No network or hotspot is required. Eye-Fi creates its own WiFi network so it works anywhere you are. Once the transfer completes, the card disconnects its WiFi to preserve battery life.
Eye-Fi ProX2 features:
• Instant transfer to your iPhone or iPad
• Instant transfer to your Windows or Mac computer over a home WiFi network
• Class 10 speed for ultra-fast high speed performance
• Compatible with thousands of cameras (check at www.eye.fi/cameras)
• Uploads what you shoot (jpeg, RAW + many video formats)
First, you will need to activate & set up your ProX2 card using Eye-Fi Center software on your Windows or Mac computer. After launching the Eye-Fi app, tap the sign in link at the bottom of the screen and enter your new Eye-Fi account credentials.

Not really a reliable tool
I think this product is aimed at the casual photographer and technophile who has the time and skills to fiddle around to make the card work. From a usability perspective the integration between card and software is pretty awful. Certain things aren’t clear until you’ve used it a while, such as only being able to transfer images to one device at a time (phone or tablet) and the option to switch those is buried a couple of menu levels down. More troubling is that the connection between card and app is unreliable. Even with the camera on full-time, it’s not really usable for tethering; it just drops the connection for no reason, even when both card and tablet are in close proximity. This is a shame because a better implementation would be a terrific product, but given the reality of how it actually works, I couldn’t recommend it. On the plus side, Eye-Fi did replace the card when the two halves of the plastic shell came apart.
Management needs fired
This app has gone downhill. At my company we have almost every version of Eye-Fi cards. The process to set them up and get it working is cumbersome it is not explained properly. Terminology is used interchangeably between computers and tablets in a way that confuses the customer. When you open it for the first time it asks you to do something but it's counterintuitive. It is not obvious that you can log into your existing account you have to click a different button then what is initially prompted. Direct transfer doesn't always work. Transferring over Wi-Fi doesn't always work either. Even when it does transfer it gets so slow that you can literally watch the progress bar even with smaller sized images. Everything you send from one device to another has to go through the Eye-Fi servers. Hire some better management and rework your software. The app used to work but now it's a piece of garbage.
Great for sharing photos
Great for sharing photos because it automatically sends to iPhone by choosing eye-fi in the settings of the phone and choosing the Eye-fi app. It puts the photos into your camera roll and i like that. And it also only moves a photo once so you dont end up with duplicates. O use it with my Mobi card and my x2 card. The mobi is much easier to setup because you just put the password. I tried the eye fi "mobi" app and its awful because you have to move the photos into the camera roll and i ended up with doubles.
