Flight simulator Version 5.8: the most advanced flight system ever.
You can connect your F18 Carrier Landing for iOS as remote controller.
Landing on an air carrier is one of the toughest tasks that a fighter pilot has to undertake. The flight deck is only 150 meters long, just enough to stop your F/A-18 Hornet. Become a Top Gun pilot and have fun doing stunts and the toughest maneuvers.
The F/A-18 SuperHornet, F14-Tomcat, F-35B Lightning II, AV-8B Harrier II, C-2A Greyhound, F4E Phantom and A-6 Intruder are available as of today with a 3D virtual cockpit and mega-detailed graphics, too.
You can control all the mobile surfaces, landing gears, flaps, slats, spoilers and you will also have the opportunity to review your actions through a fantastic multi-camera REPLAY and then instantly share the best images.

This game requires some patience but the results are rewarding. I initially made the mistake of just rushing through the quick tutotrial before trying to land and crashing time after time. Now, after almost giving up on this game, and ignoring it for months, I’ve finally landed the propeller plane. I went back and repeatedly played through the full tutorial on how to land, which was quite enjoyable. Landing speed needs to be 170 knots, then down to zero upon touchdown with the air brake applied. It’s important to realize that this is not an action game. What seemed boring at first is actually the process, which becomes more interesting when using the manual controls. My next mission is landing one of the fighters.
I rated it one star for one reason; to help motivate the creators to keep creating. IT NEEDS MORE LEVELS! This game is, hands down, the best flying game in the app store. It has the most intuitive controls. It's simple, yet challenging enough. Other flight games are either too simple, or way too complicated (in a bad way.) They have too many things going on etc. This game is perfect in the sense that the level is open and it allows you to fly freely. Despite this though, there is literally only one level. They let you take off from various places, but there is only one true level. I'm amazed that this game is rated as high as it is, with that being the case (just a testament to how perfect the flying aspect is.)The architects need to create new levels! If you create even one new level, I will raise the rating to a 5. I've been waiting about 6 months! Stop worrying about creating new planes, and just create a new level. Please! Great game otherwise :-)
Some small errors.
It's a very nice application, but there are a few problems:
First, the altitude shows AGL, whereas it should show MSL. (If you want to show an AGL altitude, add a Radar Altimeter output.)
Second, the speed indications aren't very realistic. It appears that the system shows either TAS or GS, but it should show IAS.
Finally, a mission briefing would be nice, telling the player what's actually expected (before you go wheels up). Otherwise, you're just guessing on what you mean by "intercept" or other loosely defined terms.
Just my two cents. :-)
UPDATE: Just two more gotchas.
1. A rudder would be fantastic!!!
2. Why can I only use about half of the platforms landing pad? It seems like whenever the aircraft goes more than halfway across it, it crashes. Alas, when lifting off, sometimes the noeswheel “sticks” dragging me into the invisible wall.
