Many improvements needed

Overall, Facebook is generally acceptable as ways to pass time go, but for a company that does nothing except program what people see in their timeline, they have a long way to go to get it right. If a person "likes" a page, ofttimes they will only see 10% of the posts from that Facebook page. I guess Facebook realizes that it is hard for people to see everything from every liked page and everything from every friend. But rather than decide for people, it should let people decide what percentage of posts from each source they prefer to see. There could be a sliding bar from 0% to 100% for every friend and every liked page. And Facebook REALLY needs to stop forcing the timeline to the top the page just because some time has passed. I'm sure there are plenty of other improvements that should be made. Facebook just needs to run some focus groups to find out what the people want. After all, that is what really matters.

Deletes text far too often. Needs LOTS of improvement.

Far too often I find myself typing a response to someone, then needing to consult an internet search, and when I flip back to the Facebook app, all of what I've written is deleted. That doesn't happen on a desktop where you can open a different tab: it retains all your work as if untouched while you're searching the internet for definitions, additional information, etc. God forbid you accidentally bump one of the boatloads of links or ads while typing your response. Then you're just f**ked.
The app USED to save your text from responses until you pushed "Post" but now you can't so much as consult Google for ANYTHING or accidentally bump a button or everything you've typed is just gone for good without the ability to Ctrl+Z recover it.

Also, it rarely leaves off where you left it. Rather that letting you pick up where you left off, it decides for you that you wanted to refresh, therefore hopefully you didn't want to finish reading what you left up "bookmarked" last night.

same crap, yet another rating reset

You still can’t make most recent view the default. The browser is still slow, fails to render pages properly at random (possibly doing so properly if you exit and return, or not letting you zoom out or scroll to the right to see all the text ever), and it lets ads take you to the app store without you clicking whenever they please. "Open in Safari" is the best feature they have. Posts are still being hidden in recent stories feed, only now they hide it behind "More Stories" instead of a saw-tooth pattern graphic and they give you no direct way to show what's missing. --- These so called “updates" are nothing more than an excuse to get fresh ratings and a position on the recently released apps lists. (I’m also beginning to think they are paying, or “encouraging,” their employees to give the 5 star ratting they get, because those people are either lying or somehow have a totally different app than the rest of us are forced to suffer through.)
