Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Facebook doesn’t run GPS in the background unless you give us permission by turning on optional features that require this.

Pretty good, but a few annoyances
iPhone 6S on iOS 9.2.1 This app works better than it used to, but there are still frustrations. For instance, when I go to post a comment or reply to a comment, I will hit the Post button and the entire post will slide away without posting the comment. If I go back to the post my comment is still sitting there, waiting to be posted, but man is that irritating. Another issue is some notifications simply do not respond unless you close the app and go back in. Some work fine, random others just don't work. Also when viewing a profile, sometimes it only displays a few posts and you have to go back out and in again to see the rest. Otherwise it's much easier to use than it once was.
Another vague update, sigh
Beyond the hard-to-ignore items like bringing back messages into the main app and making "most recent" a default, can you PLEASE give us the option to open links in Safari by default instead of in your broken browser? Tired of trying to quickly "Open in Safari" before it crashes every time. It's also a shame that you force pages to pay for their posts to actually be seen by their own fans.
Not to mention that I can no longer post web links with image previews. Doesn't matter if the URL is debugged, the iOS app never posts any links with previews for me. I have to go to the mobile web site to post links with previews. Pretty lame.
Issues with upgrade
I'm having issues with this new upgrade. It seems as though every time I want to return to Facebook after swiping it off of my screen it won't load and I wind up having to delete it off of my phone and then reload it back into my phone to be able to access my Facebook page. It is an awful upgrade and I would like to know when it is going to be fixed.
