President Underwood played around with FaceFilm app in an attempt to fuse him and Claire together, at the top of Episode 2 of House Of Cards Season 5!
"Today’s app is a little bit like magic. It will turn your dad into Angelina Jolie; your best friend into a cat; and reverse time to turn you back into a baby…" - Appturbo
FaceFilm is an easy-to-use app that allows you to morph images of faces together and create videos of the process. The transitions between pictures are really smooth and give impressive results. Alright so I was talkin with my super cool friend and I was like hey you kinda look like if *insert celebrity* and *insert celebrity* had a love child. Then it hit me: I gotta combine these two celebrities, it must be done. So I hit the internet, and I searched for long and torturous minutes. Then I found this app. I was so happy. I had found the holy grail itself. I could finally combine the celebrities and prove to my attractive friend that she is in fact their love child. I added the pictures into the simple interface and was met with so much disappointment. I went into a frenzy. I threw my phone and snatched my stuffed build-a-bear (he’s pink), I cried like a baby for two whole minutes. I couldn’t believe it. Why would anyone create something this disappointing? (I’m quoting my family..should I cite this?) anyway, I hope you see this and realize that people actually do care about who they look like. Even if it’s more than one person. I want to use an app that’s designed to create love children. As the minutes went on I slowly left denial, and finally accepted the tragedy. My friend will never know that those two celebrities put together are her. May peace find you wherever life takes you. Time heals all wounds.
Great app...but be aware of a couple limitations
First, I really like the user interface and the way you map out where facial features are. The preview box that demonstrates exactly where your point should be is a great idea. My goal was to make a time lapse of my daughter from infant to young adult and this app was invaluable. A few limitations arose, though that are worth noting:
There is no "fit to music" option, so your song will either loop or come to an abrupt stop at the end of the show. It also doesn't have a smooth visual ending where the last slide holds a little and fades to black.
That being said, I found a few workarounds:
I exported it without any audio and then imported the video into iMovie. From there I could create a title slide and add a final picture to the presentation before fading out. I used the length of that to edit music in GarageBand that fit to the length and ended smoothly.
The end result was very good, but just know that you'll need to do a few steps outside of the app to give the show a real polished look.
Great app, but I can still see improvements.
To start with what's good, it's very easy to use, I like how you have to match the eyes on the red line so that images don't get distorted when you morph them. I like how it slowly blends the two morphed faces together and you can save them as a slideshow or picture. It's also good that the app doesn't beg for your money like some other morph apps do.
Some things I think need improvement is the ability to save morphs in the program itself, so you can morph the morph. Maybe another feature is the ability to blend 3-4 faces at once.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
