All You Need!
These days, many apps for iOS and Mac are either not activately developed, or grow stagnant. While the upfront cost is a bit higher than some other apps, for me, it has been worth it, to bring my calendars (synced via iCloud) into the Fantastical 2 family. Mac, iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch are all using it. It's the most functional and easy to use calendar and reminders app I've ever used. It's also frequently updated and only gets better with time. It's quickly updated for iOS 10 (and I believe macOS Sierra isn't far behind). Still has the dark theme in the today widget, but otherwise is perfectly fucntional. I wish sync would happen faster on the iOS side - usually I have to open the app for it to update. However, that's not their fault - it's a limitation of iOS not made available to third parties. The best part is the integration of reminders - the macOS and iOS reminder apps seem buggy and especially on iOS, checking off multiple reminders in sequence is maddening. They bounce around and I often check the wrong one. Not with Fantastical. It's smooth as butter and I never tap the wrong one due to software bugs. Great stuff. Support these developers and continue to use great products.
Perfect for IPhone, Painful for Watch
The phone app is the best there is. With the exception of things third party apps just can't do, this takes care of it all - used it for years.
The Watch app, however, is a sad state of affairs. I'm not sure if the developers are asking too much of the device, but it is very slow on watch os3, with 4 second load time at best, 14 at worst. Scrolling is typically laggy, and you aren't always sure when the app has loaded enough to scroll (the screen loads but is frozen). The watch app can create events and reminders - but if that's what's slowing it down it should be removed. I would settle for view only if it meant a faster app. Flexibits has set the bar high, and unfortunately the watch app doesn't reach it.
Also, I have not found the staff to be rude *at all*. They've been very nice and patient with me over the years. Now, if you are rude to them... I can't guarantee you won't receive it back ;)
Easy to read!
All calendar apps essentially offer the same basic info, however, this app is my main calendar app for one important reason: it is easy to read, especially at a quick glance. Also, the full month calendar option that you show is better than just the 2 weeks that some other apps show. Thank you for providing fonts that easy to read. Easy to read is so much more valuable than other app developers seem to realize.
