Customer Reviews

Decent

I tried Fantastical 2 as a friend raved about it.
I found it marginally better than Apple's core calendar.
I am rating it poorly for inflexible reminder entry.
A DECENT calendar would have multiple reminders so I don't have to create an extra reminder... I.e. Doctor tomorrow. Instead I could put in an additional 12 hour reminder if I had a 9 am appointment tomorrow. The other requirement of mine to consider an calendar DECENT is a flexible reminder time. If I leave for an airport an hour away and I want to be there 90 minutes early, I need a way of entering 150 minutes or 2.5 hours. Our I can do as these inflexible calendars require and put in abigger reminder at that time...
I use Akruto to sync my iPhone with Outlook so that may be part of the issue, but it still doesn't have the 2 features I want that would make reminders faster

Consistently the best calendar app

I'm an app junkie and I try/buy tons of apps. As such, I have just about every decent looking calendar app on the market. Fantastical may not be the prettiest, but it is far and away the best.

The natural language input saves me a lot of time. Integration with every type of calendar is very handy for work and personal. Seamless reminders are handy and better than Apple Reminders app. Picking a location for an event saves time because I can map directions straight from Fantastical. The widget design is nice and has what I need in it.

Big props for integration with the Brave browser!

7+ (iOS 10.x)

I wish the control center widget showed the alarm settings (and date) like the new Apple "up next" widget. It would also be nice to choose the number of days ahead of an event users would like to see it appear (eg, one, two, three, seven, etc.). This should be as customizable as event alarms. The ability to customize is what has made this app indispensable through the years. The latest updates represent one step forward, but two steps back. Users want true "week" and "month" views and the option to display their preferred view in either portrait or landscape mode.
