Time management made beautiful and completely personal
If you like to keep track of your daily life, meet a friend called Fathm. See where your time goes and budget to get more out of every day. With the cool interactive Daily Donut and Fragmentation charts you can see the breakdown for each day or a week at a time. Get a handle on your time and let Fathm open the window to a brighter tomorrow, day by day.
What's New in Version 1.0.2
- Changed duration calculations
- Bug fixes
I like the idea of tracking my schedule and the interface looks great. However, using the interface is enormously frustrating. To set your schedule and your time budgets you have to move sliders around or draw arrows and this is imprecise. Having a way to simply type in your schedule would be nice. As it is I only use the app to list what I am doing now, because this is the only simple part of the interface. This means I can look back at my productivity, but the app then fails totally as a tool to plan ahead and if I forget to update my current activity correcting the error is tedious.
Hopefully some tweaks in future updates will make the app more useable. There is potential here and this is why I chose this app to write my first ever app review. I hope I can change my rating after updates to come.
Tried to like it, really want to like it, but…
Okay here goes, my first review ever.
THINGS THAT THIS APP NEEDS:
1 A lot more colors, so that you can keep track of your time visually without having to double up on color schemes
2 The choice to use either the 24 hour clock or the 12 hour clock - Not everybody likes military time.
3 The ability to change the minutes and hours into actual percentages, so you can see the percentage of your time spent on things like commuting, or eating, etc.
4 The user manual? Duh? It's not that intuitive, and I have no idea how the different charts work. In fact, they often don't make any sense like what's the difference between fragmented and defragmented? Why would the developer assume that the average person would know what that was all about?
Like I said in the headline I tried to like it, and I wanted to like it, but in the end I'm gonna throw this out and keep looking for another time management application. This one is just too complicated, and not flexible enough. Developer? Hello? Are you listening?
You are not done, not quite yet. You're about 90% there, but the 10% it's missing is the essential stuff.
Love the UI
I haven't even officially started using this app and I'm in love. The charts that break down how you're spending your time are so useful and using this app to do what it's supposed to do is so super simple that it puts other time management/recorders to shame. This is exactly the type of app you need. Not something that requires that you log in the time spent trying to figure out how to use and then use the app itself. This app is effortless. And the pay off is phenomenal.
