Customer Reviews

Almost there, Feedly!

The app is improving: if you don't finish a post before exiting the app, it will still be marked as unread; navigation inside the app is smooth and simple; blogs are easy to find; thankfully the icons were described so you don't have to just guess what they mean.
However, there are still some issues. Following links is tricky. If you just click one link from the post, you're good. The problem comes when following multiple links, I constantly am accidentally finding myself back in the app when I was trying to save where I was or just go back one page. Now if I see something I want to explore, I immediately go to chrome to find it there before I continue in Feedly. Also Feedly continuously tries to share random posts on twitter. I don't know why this happens but it's not the end of the world as it only causes a delay of a few seconds.
Overall, the best reader I've used.

Great Job Guys!

I'm not sure what you guys did... but I've just reinstalled Feedly to my phone after a brief absent and the app has become even more amazing than I've remembered it. I've always loved this app, but compared to flipboard, the pictures on the feeds had always appeared washed out and bland. As a result I've always had this constant fight between installing Feedly and Flipboard, constantly switching between both apps and random periods of time.

With this new update to the app, I'd like to say you guys have finally arrived... no longer would I have to switch to any other reader, I can now fully use Feedly as my one true stand alone RSS reader.

Congrats again guys... keep up your good work!

Great Service; Okay app

I've been a Feedly user since Google Reader shutdown and found it to be a great service, but the iOS app, while useful, lacks some key features the prevent it from being a great app.
1. The current scrolling option is one page at a time. This is awkward to use given that the web interface (and just about every other iOS Feedly reader) can scroll up and down without jumping a page at a time.
2. There are just two themes, neither of which are that elegant. The dark theme is difficult to read, with the text being and poor choice of whitish. The day theme is too bright. There is no way to create a custom theme.
3. There is no way to specify another saving service, like pinboard. You are stuck with the the five Feedly has chosen to integrate.
4. One of the great RSS readers, Mr. Reader, had the ability to customize views on a per-site basis. It you wanted the readability view, you switched over and clicked the lock button. If you wanted the raw RSS view for a different site, you could lock that in. It was and incredibly useful feature.

As I migrate to the iPad as my primary computing device, I would like continue to use Feedly as my provider.
