Flaw fixed! Hooray!
As of the December 2017 update, the flaw I described below seems to have been fixed! Five stars now.
I have used Feedly for several years and depend on it every day. Would have no complaints if not for a flaw they introduced two updates ago: if you leave an article and then come back, you get zoomed to the top of the page, rather than where you left off, so you have to find your place again. Why they won't fix this I can't imagine. No other reading app that I use works this way -- probably it's a bug.
This is especially bad when using an iPad. It is very easy to touch or swipe in a way that accidentally sends you to another page — but then when you try to come back to where you were — zoom! — you are at the top of the page and have to search down to find your place.
The developer has posted here that they would fix this in a future update but months have passed and still no fix for this serious flaw.
It works, it's fast, customisable....
... Personally, I do own a couple of the popular RSS readers and while the two more popular ones are awesome and work very well, I find this is a hell of a lot easier, faster and not cluttered with a bunch of over the top features I doubt very few use. This is is not to badmouth the other apps ( like Mr Reader is beautiful and beyond functional) but just to say if all you plan on doing is scanning and reading your feeds, flicking them over to Pocket and sharing in a variety of different ways, then this app does all of that and looks great as well. Love the new deep Black theme :)
Good, but screen rotate seems to be bugged
Feedly had been my goto feed reader for some time and hopefully it will be again. However right now it had a bug that is making it cumbersome to use on the iPhone.
It seems that on the iPhone it no longer rotates to landscape when you turn your phone sideways. It used to, and it still does on the iPad, but not the iPhone. This is particularly problematic for feeds that don't have full article text or for feeds that are picture based like webcomics.
Hopefully this gets fixed soon, but until that point, I have to ding Feedly a few points
