Pop ups ruin experience
Feedly isn't a bad service but the app needs work. Constant pop ups in articles dump you into the App Store AND reset the page (or something) so not only do you have to go back to the app, you have to reload the page. Which triggers another pop up. It's obnoxious. I notice on some sites more than others. Comics Alliance springs to mind and there are a few more. The only work around I've found is to open the article directly into a browser. A solution like the alien blue (Reddit app) where it asks you if you'd like to open a link outside of the app might be a solution. Regardless, for the time being this app is hardly usable.
Good needs polish
Several bugs have persisted for a long time that make this app frustrating to use. For starters the app will randomly stop opening feeds upon selection and only mark them as read. Killing the app and restarting seems to fix but annoying none the less. Opening a link to the website in the news feed then accidentally swiping will result in the open site reverting to the original feed. There's more but I'm sure they're aware.
Use this app throughout everyday. It's the best available but far from as good as it could be with some tweaks. 5 out of 10 times it doesn't load the latest refreshed feeds, the save for later feature is very basic, ad blocking doesn't work, no way to view full feeds without visiting the page (their is an extension for freely that does that on desktop at least, the title only view doesn't just show titles but also shows descriptions which means you can't get as many titles one screen.
