More than I expected actually

Leif Robertson

I figured it would be self opinionated comments on their gear at it was but it had more to it as well such as interviews with studio musicians, micing techniques with fender gear (although they didn't get too much into it as I would have wanted) and popular musicians that use various fenderamps and why. One mag so far but had some nice photos and some interesting reads for a first issue. I am hoping they go deeper into recording and micing techniques and keep up with the cool photos. If it actually was a paid magazine I'd give it a much lower rating as it's about half about glorifying their products and new ones so I wouldn't pay money for a digital mag with mostly that but for a freebie there was high quality photos and some interesting pics and interviews. They should go deeper into specifics and include sound samples for ways to utilize fender products in and out of the studio. It's mostly a fender ad and not a magazine but I'm a fender guy myself so I'm looking forward to see where they take this too.

The color and detail are superb

When it comes to reading books I still prefer the old fashioned paper, but magazines are a whole different deal.
From flipping through the pages, to scrolling and the fluid presentation is pleasing to the senses.
The Pure Vintage catalog would be a nice addition.

Issues beyond the first one?

Shamshoon

I am fairly certain that there been at least one additional issue since the inaugural one, but the app seems unaware of that fact and doesn't offer the second issue for download. If that's correct, I would say that's a major deficiency.

I think I was happier when the magazine was available via iBooks.
