Good realistic racer

I've never really liked kart racing games as one lucky powerup can mean a win rather than actual skill.
At the same time, I've never been very good at realistic racing games. I like this one a lot even though the sale price helped my descision.
My biggest problem is I can't seem to get the controls to work very well for me. The touch and wheel types just don't work well. The accelerometer works decent but I can't seem to turn very well. I don't know much about cars and depending on how realistic a game's car physics affect racing games tremendously and usually the first cars you get in a game like this are usually just "okay".
I'm going to stick with it though. There are a lot of game modes, online times, lots of unlockables and (hopefully soon) online races. This really is a great racing game and I'm sure more playtime will equal better performance, as that's how it goes with any game, really.
I do wish there were better menu explainations for items like the "control sensitivity" and the automatic traction menu. I'm not entirely sure what the icons mean, like the difference between "Sport" and "Race".
Then again, maybe this is targeted more at the "car-literate". The fastest thing I've ever driven was a '93 Mercury Tracer... Nowhere near as fast/nice/awesome as a Ferrari.

Worth it completely

I paid 3$ for this game and I'm still happy (even though they lowered the price even more). The cars handle very well and drifting is completely based on you. Unlike games like asphalt where drifting comes in very unexpectedly. The scenery is also better than ever since there isn't any distinguishable fake background scenery that is always the same no matter where you turn. Though the weather changes abnormally fast, it's nothing to complain about. Graphics are good. The cars are easy to handle, but there are a couple of instances where you may be skidding along a wall but all of a sudden you crash as if you ran head-on into something.
The only thing in need of fixing now is just that the money prizes should be a little greater so that a player can obtain the money to be able to buy every single car by the end of the game (or in quick races to buy them all after the actual story).
By all means, buy this game it's completely worth it.

Great game!

This is a fantastic racing game--the graphics are superb, the racing is a blast and fairly challenging, and it's very deep. I've played it off and on for several days and I still haven't unlocked all the tracks, and I don't own all the cars. It's definitely a lot of fun, and worth the $1.99. There are, however, a couple of things that still need addressed. I'd like a ranking screen after each race, listing the times of each car. The points screen immediately after the race sometimes doesn't come up. And the replay option at the end of a race doesn't actually reply YOUR race; a few seconds in, "your" car crashes into a wall, and then just starts pinballing off the walls. Pretty weird, actually. A difficulty setting would be nice, too, although for most races, you can simply choose a slower car to make it a more even matchup. I have to say again, though, that this is a VERY nice, well-executed racing game, and I highly recommend it.
