Fierce Tales: Marcus' s Memories reviewed by LynxMinx

This should have been a 5 star game. It had everything we always ask for: gorgeous graphics, good story, great zoom, a teleport map with marked objectives, labeled inventory. There was a good hint system that didn't ruin it for you, a journal and a strategy guide. It was a decent length with bonus gameplay and lots of extras. There were no RATS! It wasn't glitchy and had smooth gaming all the way through. Lots of varied and fun puzzles and games, with a decent mix of HO scenes (not too many!)
So why did I not give it 5 stars? Because of the way it loaded; it took forever to jump from scene to scene even with the teleport map! Games are so sophisticated now that there should never be any wait! However, I loved it and loved that it was beautiful instead of dreary and spooky! Worth playing, especially for the sale price! Thanks, BigFish! Please give us more of these quality HO games!

Looked forward to this b/c I loved Euro Mystery. First off, I found it REALLY annoying that you ALWAYS had to double click on everything. To select an item, go to the next location, select a location on the map, etc.... Also, most of the time when I was moving to the next location, the loading screen would come up. Every movement between locations was slow to load. The graphics during the 'video' parts were very fuzzy, not HD. I know they were going for a feel of 'memories are fuzzy' but combined with the unrefined drawing of most of the static characters (I.e. Vasco), it was annoying. Liked the map showed a small pic of the location with one click, but then if I went to see where the active locations are, it showed none. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GAME! This felt like work, not play. Just glad to be done.

Nicely done!

The premise was interesting although the memory shifts were a bit confusing. The loading time was a little annoying, but worth it. The map was handy, too, and the HOS were good. I wish there had been more of those. Also, the directions for some of the mini games were not clear enough. I had to use trial and error to figure some of them out. I also dislike mini games when one move makes other things move; I feel these are a waste of time as there's no real strategy to winning. Luckily, there weren't too many of those in this game. I haven't enjoyed a HOS as much since "The Awakening".
