Remember some drugs like ceftriaxone and ertapenem have long half-lives so [there is] no benefit from extending infusions. Think cefazolin, oxacillin, nafcillin, penicillin, pip/taz, cefepime and meropenem (among a few others) when you think of extended infusion beta-lactams.
