FileBot is the ultimate tool for organizing and renaming Movies, TV Shows, Anime or Music. It's smart, highly customizable, and just works.

If you're using HTPC software like Plex or Kodi then FileBot is a must-have utility!

FileBot will match your files against TheMovieDB or TheTVDB and then rename (or move / copy / symlink / hardlink) them exactly the way you want it. Anything is possible!

If you need help extracting archives en masse or checking SFV / MD5 / SHA1 / SHA256 files then FileBot will get that done too.

Getting Started:

Organize your media files:
1. Drag media files onto "Original Files"
2. Click "Fetch Data" and select a database
3. Hit "Rename"!

► Tip #1: You can use drag-n-drop to load files from Finder into FileBot.

Frequently asked Questions:

► Where is FileBot Subtitles?
The FileBot Subtitles feature has been removed from the App Store by request from the App Review Board. As a result, FileBot Subtitles is now available as a separate application that you can download for free.

► Where are the FileBot command-line tools?
Please use brew cask to install the filebot command-line tools. Please see FileBot Forums ‹ Scripting and Automation for details.

FileBot is a lifesaver

This application continues to deliver, time and time again. The more I use it, the more I realize what I’ve been doing is still just scratching the surface of the capabilities of this app. I recently set up the Automated Media Center and it’s making my life a breeze. All I have to do is add torrents, and FileBot does the rest, all the way down to updating Plex. There’s really nothing better.

Keeps on Growing

I started using FileBot many years before it came to the App Store. I have seen this application grow and improve continuously over all those years, and I could not be more pleased with it.
The application is great for what it is meant to do.
The support on the forums from the creator is up and beyond!

Although it doesn't come cheap, Definitely worth the investment.

20,000 files renamed and counting

I use this program all the time and it rarely to never fails me. When it does, it’s usually for a good reason, like extremely butchered spellings or misnaming of the media. Best little investment I ever made. Saves me a ton of time on formatting my media files.
