What's New in Version 5.2.2
This is a minor maintenance update that includes resolutions for the following:
— Timelapse clip in 4k with moondog enabled will not copy to camera roll.
— Global fix for headphone monitoring.
— iBlazr option can support multiple iBlazrs synched with FiLMiC Pro
— Incorrect resolution displayed when switching camera (front/rear)
— iPhone 4s does not display the vertical settings menu properly.
— ‘Tap to hide interface' is not enabling correctly from a preset.
— On earlier devices, recording with Moondog will not record a clip and hides the library and settings buttons after you stop recording.
— Miscellaneous stability fixes and performance improvements.
Terrible reliability, inability to set basic parameters
$10 app that glitches while recording 4K 75mbit/s and 100mbit/s.
Was filming outside yesterday and couldn't set shutter speed properly (it just didn't go higher than around 1/200 I guess if you're trying to set it manually with slider).
The only good thing about this app is ability to rack focus (and iso/shutter speed) at the speed you choose. Basically I bought the app because of this feature. However, if you cannot rely that it will record the video without glitches, if you cannot properly set the parameters you need for shooting, what's the purpose of these cool features? You simply won't use them because you won't trust this app to record something more or less important.
I suggest Movie Pro instead of this app. It may not be perfect nor it has rack focus capabilities, but at least you can rely that it will record footage without glitches, plus allow you to set parameters properly.
This is the second time I've had to write this. I do not understand why filmic pro got rid of their ability to access the videos from the app but instead having to access them from my own photos. So now I am not able to review my videos in the app but instead I have to view them from my library and on top of that I have to wait and plug my phone up to a computer instead of being able to review them from my phone. After paying $10 for a stupid app I feel that the main presets should not change.
Selling my Black Magic Camera I like it so much
I like this app and filming with it so much I'm selling my cinema camera. That should tell you about everything you need to know. As if that wasn't enough customer support is better than what Canon provides me for my DSLRs. Huge fan!
