Tiling allows you to edit images larger than the maximum texture size of your GPU (4096x4096 on newer devices, 2048x2048 on iPhone4). Since iPhone pictures are less than the maximum texture size since the iPhone 4S, you can edit at full size without this feature on most phones.

What's New in Version 1.4.3
• Fixes bug with loading RAW files when library contains RAW+JPEG
• Fixes issue with FTP Export
Good, but ...
Current version (1.4.3)
AWESOME!! Raw + JPEG has been fixed!!
5 stars!! Tested with Fuji Raw+JPEG and Sony Raw+JPEG
Previous review (1.4.2)
the problem with shooting Raw + JPEG still exists. But now you can still load other photos (before you had to force quit the app).
So if you shoot raw only, then this app works ok.
If you shoot JPEG only, then this app works ok.
BUT if you shoot raw and JPEG, then trying to open the raw file gives you an error. So this app is NOT for you.
Previous review (1.4.1)
Updating my review after the latest update! nd Also removing a star as it has been a while for an update, and also the fact this issue hasn't been addressed.
Still has the same BUG/PROBLEM described below. If you shoot RAW and JPEG then avoid this app until it has been fixed!!
My old review:
App needs more work!
Shooting Raw+JPEG = the app to give an error loading the RAW and crashes the app (you can't load any photos until you force quite the app).
Shooting Raw only - the app works fine.
No Photos support either. Please add this app to the 'photos editors' option to be able to edit raw or jpeg files directly from the photos app.
Add the above and I'll give you 5 stars!!
Superb digital darkroom!
For many years I was a happy user of Filterstorm, then Filterstorm 4, using it to crop, adjust contrast, exposure and color in my images, and sometimes sharpen them. The masking interface is the best I have seen, including Photoshop and Affinity Photo: just paint warmer shadows (or whatever) onto the image with your finger, using a brush adjustable for size, hardness and opacity.
Now Filterstorm Neue does all of those things a little bit slicker and quicker. It's really easy to zoom & pan your image while you're making changes in the curves. The only thing I really miss is perspective correction.
Difficult to use...
I downloaded this because I was looking for an app that could help me achieve portrait effects, and I saw this under a review on the internet...it looks like a nice app and it gives a lot of options to enhance photos taken, but it's hard to use! Every time I go to apply an edit, such as blurring, the slightest movement to the left takes me back to the main screen and I lose everything! It only allows me to swipe to hide the menu once, and even when I do that it comes back so easy! Please make an option to make this menu disappear easier and stay gone longer!
