Customer Reviews
Square-Enix's best iOS port yet
A quick glance at the reviews of Square-Enid's other mobile ports reveal that the company's track record here isn't great. But FF IX has shown that SE is learning. The updated control scheme is responsive and appropriate for touchscreen devices. The higher resolution character models are beautiful (though as one reviewer has already mentioned, the pre-rendered environments are a blurry mess in comparison). Autosave is a brilliant addition.
$20 for one of the last, great Final Fantasy games, is a fair price. You won't be disappointed.
No audio
iPhone 6S Plus on iOS 10.2.1 and I have no audio (FX or music; both are set to On in Config), even after rebooting the phone after installation and turning music and FX Off, then back On in Config. Gameplay seems to work great and the refreshed graphics are wonderful.
Edit: A few days later and now I have sound in the game.
Edit2: No sound again, volume and ringtone (in case it matters) are both max,saved game has both sound and music On, even rebooted phone and no other apps open to block audio.
AWESOME port!!
It's awesome to be able to play the game again without having to worry about being at home on my couch, busting out my original PlayStation and using a memory card.
Having it on my phone is awesome and the game plays just as well as when it first released. Cloud save is a great feature as well! Great job Square Enix!!!! iPhone 7+
