What's New in Version 1.1
Works if you use ZTE WiFi
The app works well but I found out after trial and error and a call to Cincy Bell that you have to connect to the ZTE wifi access point for the app to work. I use a Cisco wifi access point plugged into the ZTE gateway and it would not work properly. Once I connected via the ZTE radio I was able to easily connect to the set top boxes and use the app.
The problems that others list in the reviews were similar to what happened to me prior to connecting to the ZTE wifi access point.
Guide looks good and has a lot more program info than the on screen menu.
This app does work...
I was able to login on the first try and access all 3 cable boxes in my house. No problems with speed on my network so the app responds reasonably quick. I would like to see an option for the guide to see what is playing on multiple channels by hour type grid just as is available when viewing the guide from the set top box rather than only being able to view what is playing by one channel at a time. Looking forward to update with improvements. Overall fairly good for first pass at this app.
Works as one would expect, but sluggish menu
I will preface this by saying that I have TV, Internet, and phone all through Cincinnati Bell so it may be why this works seamlessly compared to what others are complaining about.
It works pretty well, I like the integrated menu and the ability to switch to that channel or record. It also gets into my library. Would be cool if I could watch the programs on my iPad vs. TV, but oh well.
The only reason it's 4 stars vs. 5 stars is because the menu is sluggish, just like the menu on the STB.
