The Fire Scene Evidence Collection Guide is a mobile, electronic guide that delivers video demonstrations and written descriptions of the proper way to collect and preserve more than 30 types of evidence found at fire scenes, including fire debris, bodily fluids, touch DNA, fingerprints, smoking materials, impressions, documents, hair, fiber and fabric, vehicle fluids, electronic devices, glass, paint, and tape fragments. The app also includes surprising facts about evidence collection, an FAQ of common evidence collection questions, and pre-collection and pre-scene release checklists. The Fire Scene Evidence Collection Guide can be used for training and as a reference in the field. The Fire Scene Evidence Collection Guide was developed by the International Association of Arson Investigators and vetted by recognized evidence collection experts.
Bug fix to allow access to Wood section
Ratings and Reviews
Very excited about this new app. I hope the makers keep improving on it. The Collection Procedure is very informative and the videos are great, but the "WOOD Procedure" would not open on my iPad.
It would be helpful to have a "Back" button to go back to the procedures.
The Checklists are lacking, maybe you could put them in an actual checklist-form (so it looks like a form) that could also be printed.
It would be helpful to have a container-collection photo gallery, so I have an idea what the containers looks like.
Also, can you add all the ASTM Standards used in evidence collection or laboratory examination.
But, I'm very excited about using this app... Thank you!!!!!
