Firefox Focus: The privacy browser
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Browse like no one’s watching. The new Firefox Focus automatically blocks a wide range of online trackers — from the moment you launch it to the second you leave it. Easily erase your history, passwords and cookies, so you won’t get followed by things like unwanted ads.
“Private browsing” on most browsers isn’t comprehensive or easy to use. Focus is next-level privacy that’s free, always on and always on your side — because it’s backed by Mozilla, the non-profit that fights for your rights on the Web.
- Blocks a wide range of common Web trackers without any settings to set
- Easily erases your history — no passwords, no cookies, no trackers
- By removing trackers and ads, Web pages may require less data and load faster
MADE BY MOZILLA
- We believe everyone should have control over their lives online. That’s what we’ve been fighting for since 1998.

Stability and performance improvements.
Pretty good, almost great
The five stars are only to offset people who write one star reviews for something that deserves at least three. I agree with the people who are saying that it needs more features but I don't understand why this is separate from regular Firefox. There has to be a reason.
If anyone wants to complain about Yahoo search being default, please help Mozilla get off the corporate cash. Let's figure out a way to get them funded to compete with the likes of Google and Chrome and never again make these ridiculous deals with Yahoo and Pocket.
Anyway, I agree that more options would be nice. Still a great app. Solid four stars or more. A joy to use as-is, honestly.
Feature lacking, needs rethinking
I hope adjustments are coming to this browser, because it would be nice to see privacy being taken seriously by a major player in the browser market. As things stand, there are already far better privacy browsers from smaller players.
Features that should be added include, but are not necessarily limited to:
1. Bookmarks! I'm not trying to keep my browsing habits secret from myself!
2. Optional auto-erase when browser loses focus
3. Optional PIN/password/pattern lock, separate from any device lock screen
4. Option to change search engine. It's okay to have Yahoo as the default, but options are needed.
An additional desirable feature that's not so privacy-related is a full-screen option that hides the gigantic toolbars, ideally toggleable with a multi-tap or gesture. And the huge button for sending pages to the default browser need not be so prominent. I get that it's probably there for convenience, but realistically, if a particular page isn't working and I've gone to the trouble of opening a special privacy browser to view it, then I'm not going to want to switch to a non-private browser to view it, or else I'd have started there in the first place.
A great browser for anyone who cares about privacy
This is my go to browser for all the times I don't need google to track me or aim their advertising at me based on my searches. I love that everything is erased by default. Honestly I trust safari just as much but their performance is sometimes lacking. I agree with the need to get away as the default search provider as the quality of results is much less but at this point it's just a minor annoyance. I can just go to the google website to search. I think what this app does for privacy far outweighs any flaws thus I give it 5 stars.
