Very glitchy. Released too soon


I have banked with First Citizens for over 30 years, back to when the local branches were Citizens and Southern. I have never been as disappointed in them as I am with this new digital banking update, as well as this specific mobile app. Their online banking worked wonderfully prior to this update. As did the app. Now, I can't seem to control my accounts the way I once did. Transfers between accounts don't go through immediately as they did with the old app. The app is currently not allowing me to view the balance on one of my accounts. Where the balance should be is simply blank. Additionally, the move from the former BOB online business banking to this new digital banking has caused problems in our company as well. (I called a technician for assistance and she tried to tell me that my company had never been signed up for BOB online banking, when I know good and well I have used exactly that for the last number of years.)

They launched this change before they were ready. And if it doesn't shape up within a week or so, they will lose not only my personal accounts, but my business accounts as well.

Absolutely terrible...


Even if you know your Log-In and password, this app won't log you in. So you go through the proper channels to reset your log-in... It's glitchy, slow, and inconsistent. Once it's reset, it still won't work. So you go through the process of resetting your password. Same story. Glitchy, ineffective, slow... and it DOESN't work. You now have a new log-in and password... and it won't work. Then you call the "help" number and spend 10 minutes on hold. Guys (developers): using an App shouldn't be the most painful part of your day. It should be effortless and easy and CONVENIENT and fast. I've spent 30 minutes already trying to LOG INTO my app. And I've had to do this on more than one occasion. I've literally come to point where I would rather drive 20 minutes to the nearest branch and have them print out my account activities for the past month, then drive 20 minutes back home-it's far more time, but far less frustration. Please fix this. Just like any responsible person would, I want to be able to monitor my bank account regularly. Thanks.



This new updated app is deplorable. If it were possible to give it negative stars I would. The old app worked just fine. Whoever thought up this nightmare needs to be terminated. The security measures are oppressive and ridiculous. Every time you try to log in on a different device you have receive an issued temp number. You are told that if you register your device that your on you will not have to get and give a temp number again. Then they make you sign in again to register the device even though you are already signed in. I called the help number to have my account unlocked because it would not let me in. After being on hold for 53 minutes, I kid you not the tech could not even access my account to reset the app and told me to call back in the morning and it would work better then. I guess the new updated app is more of a morning app than an evening app. This is insane. Why, First Citizens why?
