This app is a great reading program that will teach students how to read using a phonics based approach.
This app is great for visual and auditory learners. Students will read the stories fluently with confidence as they read along with the audio. Each story has audio which will aid students who are learning to read. The stories are written with a phonics based approach. After each story, there are multiple choice questions to answer. This will help students with reading comprehension. Additionally, this app contains word families. Students must find the correct word out of a word family that matches a picture. Word families help students with reading. Fluency and reading comprehension go hand in hand. All formal reading assessments consist of fluency and reading comprehension. Students will be confident when they are formally assessed by using this app.

Ratings and Reviews
Great app for beginning readers
I like the fact that the stories use sight words as well as phonics. It makes them more interesting. Good variety of stories and cute illustrations. The word family part of the app is not as good. Children have to choose the tile to complete the word but only the correct tile moves! I wrote to the developers and they said they will change that on the next upgrade. I also asked for lower case letters. If the changes are made I would give it 5 stars.
Great First Grade Reading App
This app is a rare gem. I am a First Grade teacher and have downloaded many apps for my students and this one stands out. I showed my students this app and they really liked it. The boy who reads the text in this app has a very clear and distinct voice. This app is truly a great tool for teaching first grade. In my class I have visual learners and auditory learners. This app offers my students both. I recommend it.
Just what I was looking for
I've only had this for a week, and I haven't explored everything yet, but really like the stories. The app gives you short stories with practice for short vowels, long vowel combinations, r-controlled, and word families. The only thing that would make it perfect would be sight word stories, but that is not a complaint, just a suggestion.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
