Escalation is a downward spiral.
A nuclear armageddon is no one’s dream scenario. So choose your steps carefully, it’s a small path between war and peace. FIRST STRIKE is a great strategy simulation featuring snappy gameplay and an intuitive interface that makes dropping the big one as easy as ABC. But be sure to take the right measures to guarantee your people’s safety.
Pick one of the big nuclear players – from known Superpowers to an upstart hellraiser like North Korea – and plan your strategy wisely: Limited but clever options let you as the leader of your superpower steer your nation’s fate: Expand to other countries, build bombs or debuild in order to restructure your arsenal. Or use research to widen your options, such as: Ability to act quicker and build bigger bombs, better recon on your enemies actions, automated self-defense-sequences and many more.
Whether you’re a bloodthirsty warmonger or a tree-hugging hippie – it’s time to put your cards on the table. A quick and fun game with beautiful graphics, FIRST STRIKE shows you how little it takes to heat things up. With the tip of your finger you can control the destiny of the precious and vulnerable rock floating through space, the rock we call mothership Earth.

This is a truly great game, It's probably one of the best real time strategy games you'll find on the AppStore. It plays smoothly and there's never a dull moment, the speed can seem a little overwhelming at first but once you get to know the U.I. It's pretty simple and I mean that in a good way, the game manages to pull of its simplicity really well and maintains a high level of strategy and replay ability. The only issue I have with the game is its lack of difficulty settings, I'm pretty good at this kind of game and because of this I've yet to lose to the A.I., not to say there's no challenge because there is, it's just you can usually pull it off in the end if you know what you're doing. It could also use some multiplayer features and possibly some more challenges and or game modes. All in all this is a fantastic game that's definitely worth buying, keep up the good work guys!
Excellent concept, poor execution
This game has incredible potential, but falls far short of what it could have been. The problem is that this is not actually a strategy game, as the description suggests. The gameplay boils down to quickly tapping buttons to build nukes and cruise missiles as fast as possible. Any thoughts of strategy go out the door as you rush to intercept enemy nukes and launch your own. This results in highly repetitive, boring gameplay that usually drags on for about 20 minutes. I took five minutes my first game to learn the controls, restarted, and have't come close to losing yet. I easily beat impossible difficulty the third time I played. For $.99 this game would be a great way to kill time. For $3.99 this game is overpriced, and extremely lacking in depth.
Wow I'm surprised
Going in to the game I thought I was gonna put it down quick...I was so wrong! Also don't let the price turn you away! its totally worth it!
This game is very addicting to me because I love war games like Risk because it is very strategic and fun. Another reason I like it is because the effects in this game and the mechanics are fantastic to me. But it feels like a good game for multiplayer because of the amount of aI you can face and how chaotic and fun it can become!
So please if you can put in multiplayer I will be so happy!
