Escalation is a downward spiral.
A nuclear armageddon is no one’s dream scenario. So choose your steps carefully, it’s a small path between war and peace. FIRST STRIKE is a great strategy simulation featuring snappy gameplay and an intuitive interface that makes dropping the big one as easy as ABC. But be sure to take the right measures to guarantee your people’s safety.
Pick one of the big nuclear players – from known Superpowers to an upstart hellraiser like North Korea – and plan your strategy wisely: Limited but clever options let you as the leader of your superpower steer your nation’s fate: Expand to other countries, build bombs or debuild in order to restructure your arsenal. Or use research to widen your options, such as: Ability to act quicker and build bigger bombs, better recon on your enemies actions, automated self-defense-sequences and many more.
Whether you’re a bloodthirsty warmonger or a tree-hugging hippie – it’s time to put your cards on the table. A quick and fun game with beautiful graphics, FIRST STRIKE shows you how little it takes to heat things up. With the tip of your finger you can control the destiny of the precious and vulnerable rock floating through space, the rock we call mothership Earth.

Once I started to get bored of Plague Inc, I decided to download this game. I understood that they both had a similar concept, so I downloaded the game just to see the differences of the two games. And I guess it's safe to say that it beat my expectations! The graphics are great, the gameplay is attention grabbing, and it's such a great game in general. However, there is a game breaking glitch that gets on my nerves... I don't know if this is an official feature of the game or if this is a glitch. So, as I started to progress into the game, everything was fine and there was hardly any bugs or glitches. Well, at least ones that didn't really matter. But anyways, everything was running smooth. Until this happened. So, as I demolished countries using the Stealth Bomber, shortly after that they just regenerated 1-10 minutes later! This just happened recently. The rest of the time when I was playing as a different nuclear superpower, everything was fine and peachy. I didn't have a problem with destroying countries, and the performance was fine and was free of problems. It would be much appreciated if you read this review and tried to fix this problem, but overall, if you don't, that's completely fine by me. I'll just use the TSAR or the Cobalt Bomb instead. But aside from that major problem, everything was awesome! I really loved this game. Thanks for reading this, in case you did!
One of the great Games of 2015!!! 💯%
I love this game, the strategy, the beautiful interface, the game play. This is one of the best games.
Cons: mostly my comments are for the developers on how this game could be improved. Same times it lags on my newest gen iPad, with iOS 8.3. Sometimes, some of the function completely do not work - defense of a county in Europe. This is not good - the again heavy graphics are being used. I also do not think the borders becoming more and more obscure as a country gets bombed is helpful for attack or defense purposes - this way you are loosing the beautiful details omnipresent in the game. Gameplay - maybe you should/could think of a economic model to be included. For example some countries produce more uranium as other therefore they are more valuable, because more bombs can be built. Otherwise one can conquer continents and just hold the border and not care about the interior especially since your opponents can not conquer the interior if the border is held.
Please work on the stability issues. Thanx
Trust me when I say that you'll not regret this game. It's fast-paced to start, but you'll soon find yourself in a neck-and-neck race with other nations as you kill off some and neglect others as they push for super weapons. I really really like this game...but it's not perfect.
I'd like it if this game had more maps. Maybe something fanciful, or something that made me feel like I wasn't just...playing it again. I also wish there was more variety with the super weapons. It's a near-future game, so I really expected more variety and creativity. Why can't there be other game modes too? Zombies...or a similar horde mode where you're fighting impossible odds. What about a satirical mode where you have to spreads peace instead, or a mode where you're the UN trying to defuse everyone. I'd like a lot more variety to make me come back. I've gotten my money's worth, but there's no reason it can't keep going up. Maybe my ideas are better suited for a sequel, but hey...I'm just thinking out loud.
