Alta HR gives better sleep info than Jawbone
So glad I finally threw my UP Move in the trash and got the new Alta HR from FitBit. The sleep app for FitBit, especially with the added HR info, is so much better! I LOVE IT!
I have an Apple Watch (see below), so my main interest was in Sleep Tracking. (Apple watch can't do that and get recharged at the same time.) I've been a Jawbone UP user for years. When my last UP band choked under warranty last year, I tried the FitBit Blaze, but quickly decided to get an Apple Watch instead. After all, Jawbone kindle gave me a fancy new UP Move to replace my UP band. (Should have waited for the backordered UP band - hated the UP Move the entire time I had it.) Well, two days ago that useless UP Move needed a new battery - AGAIN, so I threw it in the trash with the replacement band I had to buy for it when the old one crapped out.
I decided to switch from Jawbone to Fitbit and I'm so glad I finally made the move. Since sleep tracking is my main goal, the Alta HR does a better job by incorporating heart rate data, and the Fitbit App, which is working flawlessly for me, provides your sleep data in a number of different ways that, so far, I like much more than the UP app.
Fitbit Alta HR - Love it!!!!
I just purchased my first fit bit a few days ago. I love it. I had no idea how much the app would do as far as monitoring water consumption, food intake, and to be able to look up food for calories, etc. and I love that you can scan a barcode on a food or beverage product and it logs in the exact calories for you, so convenient! I also have a heart condition and I need to know on a regular basis my heart beats per minute, so the heart rate function is definitely a plus for me. It really is motivating me to move more and reach my goals. It's nice to see my reporting numbers at the end of the day and if I'm disappointed with my numbers, it gives me motivation to do better. I love the slim width design and all the wrist band options. It would be great if the height from the wrist was a little slimmer. Other than that, I love it.

Fitbit just keeps getting better and the reason I've "up'd" my review to 5 Stars.
I really am addicted to this product and seems to be my personal coach who keeps pushing me.
My only wish list would be that there would be a way to "protect" the screen since I'm a very active guy during the day working in various construction jobs and therefore it's taken a beating that doesn't look so good for evening wear.
I love the fit, feel & the looks and it is a perfect motivator for me.
Next upgrade will be to the Blaze like my wife has (well, maybe not because I'd probably trash it's beautiful looks in less than a week - but it sure looks great on my wife!)
