Live a healthier, more active life with Fitbit, the world’s leading app for tracking all-day activity, workouts, sleep and more. Use the app on its own to track basic activity and runs on your phone, or connect with one of Fitbit’s many activity trackers and the Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale to get a complete picture of your health—including steps, distance, calories burned, sleep, weight, and more.
TRACK ACTIVITY: Accurately record your steps and distance with MobileTrack when you carry your phone. For all-day tracking of stats like calories burned, active minutes, and sleep, pair the app with a Fitbit tracker.
RUN SMARTER: Enhance runs, walks and hikes by using MobileRun to track your pace, time and distance. You can also control your music, get voice cues and use your phone’s GPS to map your routes. (Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.)

MONITOR HEART RATE: Use a Fitbit tracker with PurePulse™ to analyze heart rate graphs in the app. Identify trends, manage stress and see the results of your workouts. Review resting heart rate trends to see when your fitness is improving.

SHARE & COMPETE: Connect with friends and family by sharing stats, sending direct-messages, and competing on the leaderboard or in Fitbit Challenges.
STAY MOTIVATED: Get a nudge in the right direction with notifications that pop up when you’re close to reaching a goal or have already met one.

Used to be a great app
I've been using Fitbit HR for almost a year now and love it. I also enjoyed the old app that came with it. Sure, it needed some improvements (for example, not being able to edit exercise or recategorize it if I accidentally selected the wrong kind of exercise - all simple functions to add for developers). But instead of adding improvements, they decided to redesign the app (but why?) and I get the feeling those who developed the app don't use Fitbit regularly themselves. Now when I sync the app in the morning, for example, I can't see my heart rate history for the night before until the next day. Why? It used to be when I synced the app, I would get heart rate history up to the time I synced, now it is up to 15-20 hours before. Again, if someone involved in the app used this Fitbit, they would notice it. I am surprised an update hasn't been released to fix it yet. It also takes a while to sync. I used to use the alarm functions, but who wants to wait ages for this app to sync right before I am going to bed. Half of my tracked exercises are not showing up anymore. The old app also had such a nice layout, I am not sure why they had to mess with it!
Great device but App needs fixes. Rating is for App.
I've had a Fitbit for 10 weeks now. I really like it and I think the app is good however it needs the following fixes. number of active minutes: it's very inaccurate. For example, I just finished a 75 minute walk (non stop, even pace) and it gave me credit for 52 minutes. Some of the numbers update when they feel like it even when you try to refresh them. The active minutes can shoot up by five or so minutes even after I've finished walking. Also, it doesn't give credit for walking on a treadmill or elliptical device and there's no valid reason for this because the same amount of effort is exerted and the same steps are taken. the excuse is that you're not going anywhere but that just makes it inaccurate in terms of number of steps. I've thought of deleting it and reinstalling but I don't want to lose my historical data.
I should mention that the Fitbit broke but it was replaced quickly.
The new Plus sign is real annoying.
The Active Minutes screwed me again today. Over and hour walk. Got nine minutes for it. Yes 9.
Fix the app or no one will buy fitbits anymore.
Loved my fitbit Alta! It made me move and sleep more, drink more water, and eat less. I go for long walks x5 per week to achieve that perfect picture of everything accomplished on my dashboard (dog is happier too). I do love when it vibrates on my wrist and gives me fireworks for my 10k, but, for me it is only effective when paired with THE APP. Maybe its me, maybe its not like that for everyone, but the app allows me to track my progress through the day, makes me aware where I need to catch up on activity or water, or slow down on calories.... yeah....
New update killed the app... It takes forever to load the progress. Since it wouldn't load, it looks like I didn't sleep x3 in the past 1 week. On Monday morning I put it to charge, and in the fog of Monday morning I forgot to take it with me when leaving for work. On that day it showed me I slept 18 hours. Sad... If they don't fix the bugs in the app, I know what to do: Cyber Monday is coming! Time for more expensive tracker!
