I just downloaded the app, so this is just a quick first experience and I will update after the event.
Ordered tickets through Vivid Seats to two separate concerts - one in March and one in October. Received an email from VS and AXS both telling me the same thing - your tickets (to the October show) are available, download our app to access. So I did. First impression - Flash Seats looks like an app that was created before iOS was even a thing, it is so dated and looks a little sketch. The AXS app is much cleaner and has a standard appearance. I was able to pull up my available tickets immediately upon creating a profile on both apps and it looks like you will only have to scan one QR to get both people in. Luckily in my case, we will be together so I don’t have to worry about getting the other ticket to the other persons phone. So, I don’t even think you need to use the Flash app, if you download AXS app but we’ll see. I have yet to receive the March 1 tickets, so here’s hoping I have an easy, anxiety-free experience getting those soon and getting in the venue won’t be a problem. I will update after March 1!
Couldn’t get tickets
I bought tickets as a gift through vivid seats. I then got an email saying I had to download this flash seats app to access the tickets. I helped my dad download the app and then tried to link my email so that he could access the tickets. The app would not allow me to link my email giving an error message that an account already existed with my email. I never created an account with my email. I then tried to create an account with my email — but again got an error message saying that the account already existed. Logically, I then hit the “forgot password” button, but got a different error message stating that the action was invalid. I went to the Pepsi Center box office, and they could not figure things out, and told me to contact vivid seats. I called vivid seats; the first person couldn’t help and transferred me to a supervisor. The supervisor said she couldn’t help, and that I should call flash seats. The flash seats customer service person was helpful — and he now has the tickets in his account. BUT the fact that it took half of my day and talking to 3 different companies and 4 different customer service reps to get tickets makes this the most inconvenient ticketing experience I have ever had.
I was worried
So I got tickets for the 13 of this month which was AMAZING! Anyways I purchased the tickets a month in advance which is on September, it was my first time purchasing from seat geek and had no idea I would be having to deal with a whole other company. I read reviews on who was dealing with after seat geek and saw a lot of bad reviews . I was worried for a whole month till day of the event but honestly everything went sooo smooth tickets were delivered when they said they were and all I had to do was download the app and just have the tickets scanned and I was in! Thank goodness
Only bad thing I can say is I emailed flash seat (since that’s the only way to contact them) before my event and they never responded :/ they have to work on better communication when someone reaches out. A response for some reassurance on my event would of gave me some peace of mind considering their reviews.
