Not User Friendly
Mobiata recently stopped updating their Flight Tracker Pro, it was much, much easier to use. One feature Flight Tracker Pro had that Flight Aware does not is the ability to list any past or future date for flight information. Also, the ability to save flight information was way easier, simpler to organize, and more readable. I still have not figured out how Flight Aware lists flights. Sometimes they are in Chronological order for the present date, sometimes they are in reverse order, and sometimes the next day's flights are listed first. In short, it takes extra effort to retrieve, view, understand, and save the data than Flight Track Pro had. I recommend that Flight Aware purchase Mobiata's unused software platform.
Work tool and the beast
I use this to send me alerts when my A/c is scheduled to arrive or if it is delayed. I work for one of those companies that gets an a/c every morning. At home, I watch how low a beast gets when he flies over my house. I will pull the longitude & latitude and compare location of home. The kids next door wait for this behemoth to fly over. Personally, I am still in awe of airplanes and how they can get their big bodies in the air. The behemoth is a DC10 with purple letters and the morning beast is brown. I love this app.
I really enjoy this app especially when traveling or when friends and family are traveling. Recently we were planning a trip across country and I previewed our flight for several days beforehand to get an idea of what to expect. That really helped ease some of my apprehensions about the flight. The only negative I have with the app is there are so many airlines that pop up when you search for a flight. Too bad that can't be narrowed down by choosing the country first. Thanks for a great app!
