A little perspective
This app is working for me as far as stability goes and while I agree with the many suggestions for improvement offered by other people's reviews, let's acknowledge what this app actually does: provides free access to current-issue, excellent magazines that otherwise cost good money. My library (Brooklyn NY) offers nearly 120 titles. This is a gift. I now get to flip through magazines like Popular Science and Photography that I've been interested in but not enough to actually subscribe (as I already have too many paper subscriptions). Of all the terrible uses of our tax dollars, this is not one of them.
Please put some effort into this
Just downloaded this for the first time and I'm shocked at the clunky experience. Love the concept, but the user experience is lacking. I have to go to a website to browse the titles, to then see it in the browser and then choose to open it in the app? Why is there no embedded browser in the app to save your library credentials and browse contained within the app? Why does it not take advantage of background usage to download the magazine? I have to sit with the app open and watch the progress bar slowly complete? Does it offer notification subscriptions if a magazine you like has a new issue? This would be a nice app if it were still 2009, but I think you can do a lot better.
It says in ITunes App store it's available for I Phone but it's not. I can't get past the get started screen. I went to my computer and the site there says it' only available for I Pad etc. When I click on the magazine I want, the menu doesn't give me the mobile option. When I try emailing the magazine to myself under """"share""""" the link works on my Mac but not my I Phone. It brings me back to my library login which it then rejects. This thing is a total joke.
