I tried this on three plants in my yard. One I was unsure what type and the app said it was “terrestrial plant” which grows from the earth. Really?? Obviously it’s growing from the earth. The next was my azalea and the app said “evergreen”. The third was my camellia and the app said “flora”. Three fails out of three tries. All three are ordinary, common plants and the app was unable to name any of them.
I snap a picture of a Begonia and Flora tells me that it's a car?
Citroën (French pronunciation: [si. ˈɛn]) is a French automobile manufacturer, part of the PSA Peugeot Citroën group since 1976, founded in 1919 by French industrialist André-Gustave Citroën (1878–1935).
This car was the world's first mass-produced front wheel drive car, but also one of the first to feature a unitary type body, with no chassis holding the mechanical components.
Another similar app got 3/3 for my windowsill plants. This one got 1/3 on my windowsill and told my mom that a cilantro plant was cannabis. Bit of a mixup there. And when this app isn’t sure what the plant is (about 90% of the time) it doesn’t give you an error or any message. Just kinda does nothing. Like a digital shrug. Nice try I guess?
