A few things I liked and a few things I didn't like. First, this is a nice long game. You get your money's worth. Overall, I enjoyed this whole series. Storyline is ok, graphics good. What I didn't like was how un-intuitive this game is. I got soooo stuck (and the little help button isn't always so helpful and I couldn't even get unstuck looking at the walkthrough) that I actually had to start a new game and follow the online walkthrough for the whole game. Basically, if you are looking for a challenge, this might be the game for you. And, FYI for the developers, there is a glitch on the folded towel that you get wet in the water on the floor. I put it in the water and it disappeared as in completely disappeared. It showed where it was supposed to be in my inventory, but it wasn't there. I had to go out of the game, close it, and come back in before it finally showed up again.
Like others, I have no idea why anyone would complain about this game. Clearly one person who gave this a low rating did so purely out of frustration and didn't know what they were doing and others seem to have forgotten the whole story.
I really enjoyed playing this game. It fit right in with the previous two games. We finally learn why Jesse was isolated from her family. Also, though this game has specific hidden object scenes, the entire game consists of finding hidden objects. It's way better than just finding a rather pointless hidden object area.
Confusing and silly
This game was just not good. Gameplay is incredibly confusing. There is no map to guide you and the hints tell you where to go but without a map I don't even know where I am or where the hint location is. Hints would be far better as arrows since all the time travel portals have no labels and boy, I'd love to know who all these historical figures are (easy guess but the stories are just silly and forced with no explanation as to why Einstein or Amelia Earhart would bother giving me a scrap of paper). Graphics are cartoonish and the story is worthless. I couldn't finish the game because of a glitch but I could care less to start over to resolve.
