Goodbye laundry room
I have used Fly Cleaners for machine washable items to be picked up, washed, folded and returned the next day. I received them back right on time and well handled. The unscented wash smells fresh (yay! no cloying scent) and all was folded neatly and was sorted and easy to put away. I accidentally threw in something I would have normally hand washed but it was fine. Though I would not do this except by mistake I was pleased to see no damage or shrinking. If you tend to run late be careful about scheduling. These folks run ON TIME. (Yay again!!) I had an 8-9 am pickup window today that I had scheduled in advance. The driver was here promptly at 8. I am very happy with this service especially because it costs roughly the same as using machines and your own detergent. I won’t be going back to my building laundry room. It’s nice enough but who needs it when there is FlyCleaners?
lost all my clothes - No customer service available
Do your research before using! They have a huge history of losing clothes with no return! There is even a newspaper article about that! These positive reviews here sound so fake... used this app for some months. They messed up a couple of times but nothing further than late deliveries or using strong detergent (that was very bad, my towels had super strong bleach smell when I asked no bleach, had to wash them again)..And week they lost 90% of my load!!! (all the dark clothes, so all my business clothes) and it is been a week and we still have no news of the items, no compensation... Nothing! Nobody answers the phone ever... any day, any time... it always goes to voicemail....They only communicate by email, very rude, automatic responses, always s genes by different person, no follow up whatsoever...so incompetent... Zero customer service, zero help... Their compensation is $7/lbs for lost items so do your math before sending good clothes... I lost hundreds of $$. Unbelievable! Do your research, there are better apps out there.
Don't Use It
I deleted my FlyCleaners App today, which is probably something that I should've done at least several week ago.
I started using the service in April. I often had my laundry picked up one night and had it delivered the next day. No less than 4 times, I woke up to a text saying "Sorry we need more time." This was often when I was incredibly low on outfits to wear, causing me to have to run into a last minute panic before a meeting. You can argue that's my fault, but I would argue that a service shouldn't give you an option if they can't fulfill that option.
By the way, when things do go wrong, they blame the laundromat. Well, FlyCleaners, how about adding in more buffer time on your delivery options, rather than over-promising then throwing your laundromat partner under the bus.
The final straw for me was last week when I asked to have my laundry picked up Monday night and deliver Wednsday, giving them over 24 hours, which should be child's play for a service such as this. They picked it up Monday night and sent me a "we're late" notification on Wednesday. I rescheduled for Thursday delivery and when it was time, I received another "we're late" notification. I finally received the clothes on Friday, almost an entire business week after having them picked up and just hours before I went out of town for a wedding.
Don't do it. Or if you do, beware!
