One Click Easy

Wolfhound-Dad

I started using FlyQ when I was earning my Instrument Rating. The combination of geo-referenced approach planes, approach plate overlay and position data from my Bad Elf GPS receiver made it easy to learn how the IFR chart products interact to support a pilots ADM and approach processes. I am a member of a flying club and have many chances to fly with other pilots to see how they use technology in the cockpit. My use of FlyQ is fast, accurate and effortless compared to the users of similar products. It doesn’t matter if the weather is CAVU or hard IMC, the one-click interface gets me the information I need quickly so I can scan the sky or my instruments, instead of my iPad.

Excellent app especially for the rental pilot

Seaplane dude

I fly both helicopters and fixed wing aircraft and rent them. This app doesn’t cause me to have to learn a new system each time I fly. I just carry it with me and add the aircraft I am flying. I do not spend a lot of time learning aspen, garmin, or the other gold plated on board systems, and I feel safer doing it that way.
This small inexpensive app is just excellent, in every way. I put it on a knee board, thus spending a lot of time looking outside, and some time scanning instruments, only referencing the iPad occasionally or when I reach destination,or have trouble ....I just touch nearest airport and head there for fuel or emergency.

Still awesome - second review

So this "rusty old pilot" has been flying continually for over 2 years now with FlyQ. I am finishing up my commercial rating, and will soon be working on my CFI. I consider FlyQ as a “must have” for all my flights to provide situational awareness and easy access to any function. The price beats any app out there and the stability is excellent. I believe in flying the airplane rather than being fixated on my EFB, and FlyQ lets me get the information I need quickly and get back to paying attention to flying. There may not be as many “features” as some other apps, but the team is always making improvements, and adding things that pilots request.
