FM Radio Spectrum
By Notice Software
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
NOTE: New version coming soon with updated radio database!
Uses a database of US radio emitters and iPhone location services to provide a view of the estimated spectrum utilization your current location.
Use this with low power personal FM equipment, music player dongles (like the iTrip(tm) broadcasting your iPod or other MP3 player to your stereo), or just to get an idea of the spectrum usage in any location.
- "Offline" access included, perfect for a road trip where you are in the middle of nowhere and don't have an internet connection but still can't find a good clear frequency (iPhone must still be able to determine location)
- Clearest stations are highlighted. These provide several options that should provide clear reception.
Does not take into account geography or man-made obstacles. US emitters only included in this package. Other localities to come.
Pre or post sales questions can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
What's New in Version 1.1
Updated radio emitter database, 100's of new sources and removed old sources.
You people need to READ THE DIRECTIONS. It very clearly says to use WITH iTrip, not in leu of. And the antenna included in the iPhone itself is a cellular antenna not an FM antenna. I hate being the one to tell you people but you really need to get back to school. Reading what you write almost makes me believe my cat is smarter than you. If only she had oppoable thumbs.....
Works like a charm!
The app is quick and easy to use. I wish people had understood what it did when they bought it.
FM radio spectrum
The application does not work. When I complained to iTunes all they did was to give me the FM Radio Spectrum Support website which does not work. DO NOT BUY IT. APPLE SHOULD DELIST AND BAN THIS COMPANY.
