What's New in Version 1.47
Hello foapers! This version includes following improvements:
- Mentions is implemented
If you find any bugs in the app, don't hesitate to send us a mail to email@example.com.
Unlike others, I don't mind the rating system very much. However, as I have rated pictures in order to get my own published, I've noticed that the system is seriously flawed as it allows subpar photos to be sent to the Foap market that probably would never grace a frame in a persons home.
The major problem that I have with the app is that it is difficult to find consistency in having uploaded photos reach publishing because of the current glitches. After rating the exact same photos repeatedly for five minutes, my newly uploaded photo never made it past processing so I deleted it.
Another concern that I have is that there is no feature to report stolen photos from other users or report users for uploading internet photos. Not only does this affect the credibility of the users of the app, but it seriously affects the credibility of Foap and the entire selling process.
Once these issues are addressed and the other minor bugs get fixed, I'm sure that this could be a great app.
Like everyone else, I saw this on ABC news and wanted to try it out. I tried signing up, both through email and through Facebook. It kept saying there was an error. Then it told me I had to put in a password but nowhere to put one. Through some miracle, I finally got signed up through Facebook. When I tried to upload pictures, they took about a day just to get to review. For some reason, they kept doubling and sometimes even tripling. While my pictures were in review, some of them got some good ratings and just disappeared for no reason. They weren't in the published section, so where did they go? It would be great if they sent a message/email saying why those photos didn't pass the review. Also, to verify your account, you need some sort of photo ID. I tried taking a picture of it, like it asks you to do, and I have still not been able to get it to work. You need that verification to join the bigger cash prize contests.
All in all, this app has a great concept, but the app is so buggy this great idea can't be utilized to its full potential.
Good but not so good
When this app was created it had a very good concept and after hearing about it on the news I immediately downloaded it. While it seems quite easy to function I found myself having problems. Right away it told me I got a faulty response from foap servers and that I needed to email the developers. At first I figured this was because so many people were signing up but it continuously gave me that message. After I was finally able to sign up I tried uploading pictures. I made it to the rating but then it told me it failed and that I had to try again. I tried a different photo but then I could barely even get past the rating part. Even after I did it once more told me I failed. I tried to look at my account and it didn't even show those photos anymore. I put it down for a while and this morning decided to give it a go again. So far I have not been able to log in...
