Simple and Helpful
Seems to be working half decently. Only time will tell. Firefox/Modzilla are committed to building excellent software so I can assume they will do the same here. I'm still seeing embedded iframes from Google ad networks and I really wish they would block the JavaScript modal which loads these crappy "subscribe" to our newsletters and calls to action. They overlay over everything and frankly no one cares. Which they find an algorithm to identify these. Other than that I hope this gets rid of the crap that takes a webpage 1000 seconds to load.
Good app with big flaw
This app does a good job blocking what it says. The problem is, there is no way to unblock a site you trust, a site with interesting and tasteful ads, or a site you wish to support. I'd like the NY Times to get paid for the ads I read, but I can't unblock this one site. I don't want to block ads in Federico Viticci's Mac Stories, either. I want to block many others.
The apps controls seem to allow blocking/unblocking categories across all websites, not individual sites. This needs to be fixed. Until then, I'll use another blocker.
Very good app, just wish it worked in Firefox
The app is very good and easy to use. It has a lot of features that one wouldn't normally get with free content blockers, but lakes whitelisting. That would be my only request in terms of actual features.
It would be very good if this worked in Firefox, because there is no option to block ads.
