HIGH Potential Game - (minus all those QB finger controls just to pass)
This game is very fun and has very high potential. I could do without such a long storyline. It could be narrowed and you should be able to name and design "your" QB. PLEASE TAKE AWAY ALL THE QB "finger pinch, slide, point" movements just to execute a single pass. Instead make it simple. Nice reads and a simple "press" of the colored circle over a player should be plenty enough. A quick press lobs the throw. A hold press bullets the throw. Then we have some red zone action without losing interest in the overall gameplay itself. Please do make adjustments to this game. The graphics could stand out a bit more. Refer to Fifa 12 on iOS. Their graphics engine, size ratio and aspect are perfect for football games. Combine what this game brings with the "QB Vision" and you have yourself a new football game of the future. Thanks for your time and attention.
Funny and fun
It is hard to describe this game. It succeeds on so many levels. If it only had the minigames to get the passes and plays in, that would be enough, but add a comic book like storyline where a Division 1A All-American QB has to go to NMU,... Northern Montana Urology College... If you lost me right there, then the humor may not be your cup of tea. Just fast forward through the comics, and get back to the game. I personally maje sure to read every hilarious tidbit provided by the Longtail Studios team. These developers have a twisted and spot on sense of humor. The minigames are a great way to pass the time, and they use all of the features of the iDevices: you tilt to aim to a receiver, then you pinch, zoom tap, or rotate following the prompts. Once the receiver is targeted, you flick the ball to him. Great job! And working great on my 1G touch (OS 3.1.2)
Just short of a first down
It's hard to dig at a free game, especially one that has so much potential and much to offer as it is. I think the targeting is fun and great, and I would gladly pay for a version that is free of the cheesy side story that promotes adultery, promiscuity, and God bashing. I appreciate the attempt to lighten it up, but it just isn't very funny. Lose the story and put it Flick Football style feild goaling or Nfl Rivals style running, because although the passing is not perfect, it is fun and challenging. Second, I'm trying to get all A's in the personal goals and takes way to long to go through everything to make another attempt if you miss a goal. A menu option to start over during gameplay would be a real time saver for a mobile devise-based game. Otherwise, nice work and I look forward to an update or a sequel.
