Great if you live outside a major city, but room for improvement

I live in the Front Range foothills (CO), and none of the other weather apps allow me to access the forecast for my National Weather Service zone. Forecasts vary widely over short distances here because of the changes in elevation, so this feature alone is worth the price of admission for me. Saving multiple locations of interest is what sets it apart from just going to the web for my forecast.

That said, there's a lot of room for improvement.

The detailed forecast gets cut off if it's longer than five lines, which is common when storm systems are coming through. This needs to be fixed.

The scroll bar feature allowing you to see the future forecast is a good idea, but it's very sensitive and difficult to control.

The addition of radar would be really great - at present, you have to go to another app or the web for that.

Finally, providing information on weather alerts (e.g., tornado watches) would be a useful addition, as well as access to the NWS Hazardous Weather Outlook and Short Term Forecast text announcements (usually posted during storms).

Unfortunately, this app cannot be your only weather app, but if you live outside of a major city, it will provide you with data you may only get on the web otherwise. I give it four stars for doing what it says it does - minus one for cutting off forecast text. Hopefully future updates will add additional features.

Love it

I mean, it's just the weather--but I get a kick out of how it works. Pinpoint--literally--the place for which you want a forecast; zoom in or out on the map to make it more or less precise. Graphics are nice, pins are easy to drop, move, or delete. Interested in weather for several places, that you want to see often? Set several pins, and leave them in place. Touch the one(s) you want to see the forecast for. I'm sure other weather apps do a good job too--but I'm very happy with this one, well worth a buck just for the entertainment value.

Exactly what I needed

As an avid skier, it's frustrating how the weather conditions can be completely different (rain vs. snow) at the various local ski areas. This application makes it much easier to plan where to go, since I can compare the forecasts at each area. It even lets me view different locatiosn such as base and top at each area. Selecting the forecast points is very easy, and only had to be done once. No more skiing in the rain for me!
