Frameless also happens to work for anyone who wants a simple, full-screen web browsing experience. It has a customizable, gesture-based and intentionally minimal feature set. Experience prototypes and websites like native apps, without any status bars or unnecessary UI to get in the way.
iOS9 users, rest easy. Frameless will force your prototypes width and height to the size of your device's screen. The new "force device dimensions" option is shipped turned on by default in this update. Keep it on if you're using iOS9 and Framer Studio: disable it if you are on an earlier version of iOS. This behavior won't affect any URLs or sites that don't have the extension .framer. Special thanks to Mike Feldstein for help on this one.
Also updated to use system fonts exclusively. SAN FRANCISCO ALL DAY
Ratings and Reviews
I've really enjoyed using Frameless to help prototype some app UIs using HTML/CSS/JS. I haven't actually tried pairing it with Framer, but since it's just a web browser without the browser chrome I can use it to pull up any site.
Great concept. Love the gestures that replace the buttons. Wish more apps would do this. However there are many crashes when clicking hyperlinks.
Also wish there was some form of tabs
Serious battery drainer
In an 18 hour window of normal usage, this app while used for less than 20 mins, used up 48% of battery life. Compare to google maps which i used for a 30 min commute used 8%.
Something is not right here.
